UMCOR

For updates on United Methodist mission teams that are in Haiti, response efforts by the United Methodist Committee of Relief (UMCOR), and to make a donation, visit  http://www.umc.org/haiti

Donations are also being collected at our local church, which will be sent in to UMCOR.  100% of those gifts will go to Haiti Emergency Relief.

PETs in Haiti
PETMO-Columbia is gearing up to provide PETs (a rugged, hand-built mobility device) for the hundreds (probably thousands) of amputees in Haiti. One hospital reported doing 100 amputations a day, another reported 70 a day. There are PETs on the way to Haiti, and will ship more as soon as it is appropriate. Capable and proven NGO's are being lined up for distribution. A check for a PET ($250 per PET) sent to 1908 Heriford, Columbia, MO 65202, will assure the shipping of a PET to Haiti.
